Our engagement and involvement doesn't stop now. We're always looking for new ways to learn from both our volunteers and the general public. Learn more about our development plans. Image Resampling volunteers In May this year, we plan to launch a pilot event to resample our volunteers. We'll be asking some of our volunteers to provide a blood sample to help us further understand their genetics in our research. As part of this event, we'll be inviting everyone who attends the chance to have a chat with our researchers and see posters of their work. They'll also be invited on a tour of the Institute of Genetics and Cancer and can listen to a talk from our Chief Investigator, Professor Jim Wilson. They'll get to meet our whole team and ask us any questions they have about our work. Public and Participant Involvement panel We're currently in the early stages of developing plans to establish a Public and Participant Involvement panel. We aim for this panel to be representative of the population with Northern Isles ancestry and to guide us on the approach we take to our work. This article was published on 2024-01-25
