Sonya is born and bred Orcadian but and now lives in Aberdeen. You can read more about her story here. Image I am a born and bred Orcadian as are my parents. My four grandparents and my great grandparents are also all from Orkney. My Dad is very into family history and he took part in the first study which was so interesting. This is what initially made me interested in the research. I moved to Aberdeen to study, where I met my husband. We've since moved to Aberdeenshire and have 3 boys. I would really like to find out more for my kids and help with any information that might help in genetics. It is important research which could make a difference.
